A Day Darn Sarf

Picked up running friend at 8am and made our way to New Milton for the New Forest half marathon. As ever, the day developed into a nice, warm sunny one. Great for spectatoring, ok-ish for running (but thank dog not as bliddy hot as 2 weeks ago). Managed a pathetic 1.59.30 but actually was my third fastest time on this course out of 8 runs. And the second fastest was 1.59.03. My running really has gone to pot of late. Must do something about it. Giving up seems quite a good option at times. I suspect my running partner's hr didn't get into 3 figures but it was nice to run together. Again.

And then we headed west. To my parents. Suspect that my Dad was plugged in but not switched on! He had his hearing aids in but still seemed to be struggling at times. Everyone was on best behaviour and I think it went well. All sides suitably vetted by the other.
