Someone heard me!

And heard my plea to be dragged out for a run! So, a "short recovery run, that's all" took place at a decent pace with old friend again. We did 3.7 miles or so (well, garmin has measured it at 3.73, 3.74 and 3.83). Sometimes it's nice to run with someone you're comfortable with. You don't have to chat all the way round, just 'be'. It was good. Although the beginning was a tad strange. The legs didn't seem to know what to do. They were half an hour off the bike, so not exactly a brick session but still, the legs seemed to want to go in little circles rather than proper running. They remembered eventually.

And work? Well, I'm ticking things off my list. Our PA accused me of delegating to facilitate the ticks. I said, it's taken me five and a half months to learn!

People are starting to worry about the company briefings on Thursday. It's not good. I kind of feel guilty at leaving, if that makes sense. I don't have to fret about having no job, it was going to happen anyway.

it DOES make sense, because you have taken on repsonsibility for that job, even though you could have done a lot less given it wasnt permanent. But that wouldnt be you

However, guilt is a useless destructive emotion

while you were there you did the job well and now the company will simply have to deal with their shortsightedness
aint your problem

(((((((((((())))))))))))
