Carbon footprint

I realise I shot a hole in my green foot by flying to Amsterdam last weekend. I could, of course, have travelled by train. Sometimes, however, you have to shake your head and wonder whether the world really has gone mad....... I imagine they could save the same amount of carbon by taking one person out of the Australian team (they wouldn't miss one medal, surely?). Let's get real - look at the construction methods, use of water, public transport infrastructure, travel of all the flipping bureaucrats but the Olympic flame? Pleeeese.
